Trash Bash
Trash Bash
November 30 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am
The NBSTCC has partnered with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and Loggerhead Marine Life Center on a marine debris cleanup initiative.
The Trash Bash was the idea of one of our volunteers and originally began as a local beach cleanup. It has expanded into a global effort to collect data on marine debris and its effect on marine life, specifically sea turtles.
This is a Citizen Science Program that allows volunteers from all walks of life to participate and take an active role in the war against marine debris.
Volunteers collect trash from different areas along the 4.5 miles of Navarre Beach and record data that is forwarded to state and federal agencies.
The Trash Bash is held the last Saturday of each month.
